JAN HUSARIK

When Jan Husarik has chosen a picture asa communicating language with outside world, what he wanted was to reduce the thirst to all thirsty ones by his visions of fertility. In order to do that, he has chosen a special kind of artistic way and language. Realistic motives of the country; countryside full of fruit and luxury he inspires with a strange peace and the juice of unreal and magic. Strongly bonded to the tradition of Vojvodina naive, Husarik managed to find a clear, recognizable and his own artistic expression and special characteristics that only few possess. He makes pictures which, with his bright, cheerfull colors full of different shades, make it possible for even unreal plants to bloom and bring fruit on the dry, thirsty land.

 

DESA PETROV MORAR

Desa Petrov Morar was born at Sefkerin in 1946. Now she lives in Pancevo. She has been painting since 1964; she also writes poetry and makes sculpture. Her work has been presented in the World Naive Art Encyclopedia and in many monographs and books on naive art. So far she has had 180 group and 38 solo exhibitions in the country and abroad. Her paintings were exhibited in Zurich, Buenos Aires, geneva, Washington, New York, Paris, Nice, Tokyo, Limasol, Nicosia, Paraguay and other cities worldwide.

 

SAVA STOJKOV

Having chosen painting as his only destiny, sava stojkov, a Sombor painter devoted himself to the peaceful joy of living. He has chosen a realistic way of expression. The things that he learnt from nature i.e. to enjoy life he put in his pictures. The poetics of the region or a portrait do not reveal the flame at first glance but gradually. It was a long time ago when Stojkov presented his farms to the world, suggestive and recognizable, full of clear or hidden beauty of the ordinary. he became famous not only in his country but outside Europe too. He is recognizable by the firmly tied green landscapes and the endless blues sky. The main characteristics of his art are: perfect choice of elements, well chosen steady colors, refined, full of harmony and rhythm.

 

PAVEL CICKA

He was born on 17 May 1961. in Kovacica. The interest in art has already been encouraged by his family, especialy by his grand father. He passed eight years of elementary and extended elementary school at his birthplace as well as two years of secondary school, followed by the attendance of the school for agriculture in Pancevo where he was trained in mechanical engineering. The motives of his paintings are visible: playful horses, great fields of wheat, in the background vineyards and among them like poppy-little huts of villages. The fertility of the flat Vojvodina is (simbolized by) the pumpkin with leaves at the left side below the middle of the painting where he also sign his paintings. Until today he has had seven single exhibitions and about 300 exhibitions in the former Yugoslavia and abroad.

 

MARCI MARKOV

He was born in 1954. in Padina village. he belongs to a group of painters of young generation. He paints since 1977, and he has had solo exhibitions at Belgrade, Padina, Opovo, etc. He took part in many colective exhibitions, like Expo Seville 1992, Bratislava 1994. etc.
